Your Examination

Your examination will begin with the nurse or medical assistant taking your vital signs. In preparation of your exam you will be asked to change into a hospital gown. Your surgeon will inquire of the exact nature of your problem, perform a physical examine, review your records, laboratory studies, and x-rays to determine the procedure that is right for you.

If you do require surgery, the type of surgery, recovery, complications, and outcomes will be discussed with you at this time. The surgeon will also discuss instructions regarding your preparation for the specified procedure. You may be able to find more information regarding your condition and surgery on our website by looking either under Conditions We Treat or Surgeries & Procedures.

Follow-up Visits

Postoperative visits are scheduled as needed. Postoperative exams are generally fairly quick as long as there are no ongoing issues. Surgery and recovery results are reported back to the referring physician.
